Man & Woman of the Year is a 10 week friendly fundraising competition benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®, in which candidates compete for the titles in honor of local survivor children, the Boy & Girl of the Year. Local business and community leaders are nominated, and those who accept, become competing candidates agreeing to raise at least $5,000.00. Judged solely on a philanthropic basis, the candidate raising the most funds wins. After the competition ends, those winning the titles of Nashville's Man & Woman of the Year are recognized in various business and society newspaper ads, in a national ad in USA Today, and on billboards throughout town. Additionally, they receive a host of impressive prizes from local retailers. All candidates are featured in at least one ad. Runners-up and those raising $10,000 or more will also receive publicity and prizes. BOY & GIRL OF THE YEARThose campaigning for Man & Woman of the Year will be raising funds in honor of our Boy & Girl of the Year 2008.
